Our history:
Imagine traveling ten, fifteen, even twenty miles just to attend a church. Nowadays people do that all the time. But image walking the distance. Back in 1792 people would journey from places like Jersey Shore, Trout Run and Pennsdale, just to meet for worship in the log church near where the Lycoming Creek meets the Susquehanna.

Image the faith of those people. Image the hospitality shown to them for coming the distance, expending the time to get there. Image no longer! Now into our third century of service. Lycoming Presbyterian Church remains a place where faith and hospitality meet in meaningful worship, thoughful education, living fellowship, mutual service, and ongoing mission.

The old log building has long since been changed to stone and then to brick, but we're still beside the creek in the Newberry section of Williamsport.  Getting here today may not be the distance in time that it way years, but whether you walk the sidewalks of town or come to us by car, you'll still find a hospitable people ready to welcome you in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord.

If you are looking for a place to attend worship, or perhaps a church to call your home, consider Lycoming Presbyterian: Where Faith and Hospitality Meet.
